Always do what you think is right for you, and then be confident while standing by your decisions. – Aahad Ali Bhatti
Times of Youth: Do tell us about yourself and your work in brief for our readers who may be unaware.
Aahad Ali Bhatti: I am Aahad Ali Bhatti, the owner of Studios Aahad. 10 years ago, while I was studying in my school, I started working professionally as a photographer. I wasn’t really a bright student at school due to which I decided to take photography as a professional career. Photography has been a family business that encouraged me to initiate working with my uncle at a renowned studio in Lahore, Pakistan called Studios Afzal. There was always an inspiration for photography, since my early teens. One fine day, I decided to start my own Studio, presently known as Studios Aahad, which I believe has helped me develop immensely as a professional photographer. I still work hard to build a strong portfolio/clientele which sums up to more than 10,000 photo-shoots to date.
Times of Youth: What sparked your interest in photography per se?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: Since it’s a family business and I had been seeing photo-shoots from a very young age, it was sort of running in my blood.
Times of Youth: Which was the first most acclaimed photograph that you still cherish?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: One of the commercial beauty salon shoots of an acclaimed Pakistani actress Zara Sheikh. I still cherish those utterly glamorous shots I took back in those days.
Times of Youth: What has been your biggest moment of pride?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: The day I created my own brand – Studios Aahad.
Times of Youth: How has your family been handling your choice of career since you began your photography journey?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: It goes without saying now since it’s my family business, they have always supported me throughout this career, even while I was studying. I am actually very grateful to my family for this unconditional support.
Times of Youth: Do tell us one incident which totally changed your life/perspective.
Aahad Ali Bhatti: A couple of years back, my father got hospitalized due to which some major responsibilities came directly on to me. Being the eldest amongst my siblings, that incident simply changed my perspective towards life.
Times of Youth: What would you have been if it weren’t for photography?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: I would have been a professional Moto GP Racer.
Times of Youth: What makes your day? What spoils it?
Aahad Ali Bhatti: A highly satisfied client simply makes my day and whenever I miss my gym, that is simply the worst day for me.
