My name’s Bisma Khalid. I am a self-taught watercolor artist from Pakistan. Initially, I was doing my Bachelors in Dental Sciences, which I left recently because I wanted to pursue Arts. I am currently doing my Bachelors in Psychology. Many people would ask me, “Why wouldn’t you study Fine Arts after leaving BDS?” Well, it’s probably because I wanted to learn arts on my own. I run an online arts business. I make watercolor portraits & paintings as commission works for my clients. I realized, if I went on studying something easier, I’d get a lot of time on my hands to practice what I love & by the grace of Allah Almighty, I’m doing exceptionally good for my age. My parents supported my every decision and gave me confidence throughout my journey in my pursuit of arts and Alhamdulillah they are happy and content with my decisions when they see now that it all worked its way in my favour.
When I first started off my Facebook page under the name “Biz’s Creation”, I had no clue it would turn out to be such a significant part of my life. I wasn’t even sure if people would appreciate my style, especially the medium I use. I was thrilled when I got my first official order way back in 2012 & since then, I’m into freelancing. I have worked on fashion illustrations, a few assignments for National College of Arts, various projects on children’s book illustrations & most of my works consists of Watercolor portraitures. My goal is to be one of the finest watercolor artists. I aim to improve my skills on realisms.
Currently, I am working on a Children’s book illustration for a publisher which mainly comprises of my Galaxy landscape illustrations. Hoping for the best in the future, too.
I’d like to end by dropping a small message for the youth of today- Do more of whatever makes you feel good. Everyone is unique in his own ways & so are you. Don’t ever stop dreaming & always dream big you never know what might come true & I aim to put more emphasis on spreading love and peace through my art. I hope to contribute in making the world a happier place through my paints and brush.
