Times of Youth: For those who don’t know about you and your work, can you tell us a little about yourself?
Vishvesh Tadsare: I am a self taught artist and it may come to you as a surprise that I do art in my spare time. I began drawing in the beginning of 2013 and have not looked back since then.
Times of Youth: How would you describe your work to someone who has never known about it?
Vishvesh Tadsare: My works of art focus on achieving realism in my drawings by using graphite and charcoal. Graphite and charcoal are my favorite medium to work with. Also my work focuses on the key words of power, strength, valor, intelligence, positivism and beauty.
Times of Youth: What sparked your initial interest in arts?
Vishvesh Tadsare: During childhood I was interested in drawing but I was not good enough, so I never gave any exams of drawing. I did some paintings in my school years but I got into studies more and I didn’t pay attention to art as much. I touched art again only in 2013 as a way to escape (everyone has their own ways to escape!) and I just got better and better. I just didn’t know that one day I would draw these realistic portraits (I had that dream since childhood though!)
Times of Youth: At what age did you start doing all this work? Has your family always been supportive of this choice of career?
Vishvesh Tadsare: I started in beginning of 2013 (My birthday is02/12/1985). My family has been supportive of this work as also my colleagues, but as of now I am not doing it as a career (I wish it were my career though!)
Times of Youth: Which of your projects are you most proud of and why?
Vishvesh Tadsare: I am really proud of my Shaolin series. This series of drawings focuses on Shaolin monks and their dedication and their feats. I really adore Shaolin and their techniques.
Also, I am proud of the artwork series of pioneers of various fields, as I really like to draw them.
And also, of the film based artwork of the films that I like and which pertains to the key words mentioned above.
Times of Youth: Where do you see yourself in next 5 years?
Vishvesh Tadsare: I don’t know that exactly! But for this year I wish to get more exposure and make some sales so that I will have some income through art. Maybe I will get into some art gallery and display my works and make some good connections.
Times of Youth: What is one question nobody has ever asked you— that you wish they asked you?
Vishvesh Tadsare: That question is ‘why am I doing Shaolin series of drawings?’ And I think they should ask me that!
