Times of Youth: For those who don’t know about you and your work, can you tell us a little about yourself?
Shubham Dogra: I’m Shubham Dogra, a 19 year old artist from India.
Times of Youth: How would you describe your work to someone who has never known about it?
Shubham Dogra: Most of my works are portraits of people using graphite pencils or color pencils. Sometimes I use acrylic colors or water colors for paintings.
Times of Youth: What sparked your initial interest in arts?
Shubham Dogra: When I was about 4-5 years old, I started drawing objects like tree, hut, an animal, birds, etc. My interest in sketching sparked at the age of 9, when I saw the old sketches drawn by my dad (when he was young).
Times of Youth: At what age did you start doing all this work?
Shubham Dogra: Basically, I started drawing small objects since I was 4-5 years. But I started to sketch properly at the age of 10.
Times of Youth: Has your family always been supportive of this choice of career?
Shubham Dogra: Yes. My family has always shown full support to my interest in arts. They have always encouraged me to keep going.
Times of Youth: If not this, what else would you have taken up as your 2nd career of choice and why?
Shubham Dogra: If not this, I would like to be an actor in Bollywood movies, because I am really interested in that field too.
Times of Youth: What is the first word that comes to your mind when you read the following words:

Times of Youth: On a scale of 1 – 10, how would you rate yourself as an artist, honestly?
Subham Dogra: To be honest, I would rate myself 8 on 10.
Times of Youth: Which of your projects are you most proud of and why?
Shubham Dogra: The sketch of my dad, which I had given to him on his birthday. Because it genuinely made him happy & to see your parents happy because of you, gives an amazing feeling!
Times of Youth: Where do you see yourself in next 5 years?
Shubham Dogra: I think if I keep working hard like this, I will definitely earn name & fame atleast at national level in the next 5 years.
Times of Youth: What is one question nobody has ever asked you— that you wish they asked you?
